Friday August 4, 2020 has finally arrived! This means New Jersey residents and visitors will be able to eat inside a restaurant again like normal humans. Effective today as most of you know marks the return to indoor dining service for the first time since March. It’s been a bumpy ride since we were told to hang in there for about two weeks back in March. We were supposed to eat inside again beginning July 2, but Murphy jerked us all on that promise.

The rules are pretty easy. Dining Rooms are capped at 25% of total capacity, and many will continue to offer outside seating. While you’re seated at your table you don’t need a mask. Walking to your table or to the bathroom will require you to don your facial mask or covering. Most places will have cleaning and sanitation policies enhanced to keep patrons safe.

If you’re lucky enough to be in Atlantic City, you get the golden treatment. Gamblers in casinos also may now eat inside, but drink service resumes on the casino floor too. Combine that with the return of smoking to the designated smoking areas of the gaming floor, and you have a Labor Day to remember.
