As promised- it’s contest time! One lucky winner will receive a police scanner just for being a fan! The prize is a Uniden Bearcat BC75 Handheld Scanner (MSRP $89.99). OCSN will provide basic programming for Ocean County to the lucky winner. Prize includes the scanner, 2 AA Batteries, and that antenna. Uniden offers free software online to program it with a mini-USB cable (not included).
Now for the rules of the contest. The prize is open to ALL contestants who have officially Liked and Followed the Ocean County Scanner News Facebook page. If you want to win, please comment in this thread why you want to win it. OCSN Staff will choose one lucky story this weekend and announce the winner on Monday (10/07/19). Just be sure to like and follow us, and give us a sentence or two describing why you want to win a scanner!
The winning contestant MUST meet a staff member next week at Quick Chek in Toms River. The lucky winner will also get an OCSN prize pack with stickers, pens, and keychains.

Because I’ve been listening since I was a little girl. My dad was a volunteer firefighter turned commissioner when I was little and scared he wasn’t coming home. He passed this past March and every time I hear the siren go off, I still tune in.

I should have read the instructions before commenting my pathetic comment about how I have no luck for this sort of thing.
