Hear anything about a black truck on 539 in whiting by the Dunkin donuts? Driver was stopped in the road. Motorists were stopping by the time I passed and getting out of the cars. Happened around 3 today.

Steve Stifler ok I agree with you on this, but it is NOT easy to get help! I was addicted to pain pills and I had excellent insurance but it took the rehab fighting with my insurance for them to cover my stay and I WANTED THE HELP!! Alot of these addicts do want help but it is very hard to get! I was fortunate enough to get the help and support I needed and by the grace of God and my rehab I can happily say I am over 5 years clean from all!! It just sucks not everyone has that chance. That’s all I’m saying, people are too judgmental today, we don’t know their story or how they became addicts but not all addicts chose that life!

Scott Barnes it took me 2 times in rehab to get clean. I’ve had 7 spinal surgeries and was put on oxycodone and oxycontin from 1999- 2009, I didn’t ask to become an addict but it happened from being on the medication for so long. The first time I went in my family had an actual intervention for me. I was clean about 6 months then my dad passed away suddenly and I relapsed, I got to the point where I lost EVERYTHING, a 25 year marriage, my house and almost lost my kids and grandson so I DECIDED it was time to change but I do feel that no matter how old you are, your parents should have the right to put you in rehab involuntarily to get the help you need!

Laura Supko that I do 100% agree with. You should be able to get narcan ONCE to save your life…after that it is your CHOICE to get better! I’m not arguing that point, I’m just saying instead of making it so easy to get narcan FOR FREE, maybe we should be opening more affordable treatment centers! Some people DO CHOOSE to continue to do the drugs BUT some have no way of stopping. The rehab I went to was pissed because I drove myself there in full withdrawal and they said I could’ve had a seizure or stroke. And I told them I didn’t care, I didn’t want to be on pills anymore.

Steve Stifler I was on them for 10 years. And the doctors kept upping the dosage. I realized I was addicted when I overmedicated myself on Thanksgiving and was driving home from my moms with my teenage daughter and I was falling asleep. It scared the death out of me….I knew then I needed help and would rather suffer through my pain than to ever again put my family and my children through that!! But I had to lose EVERYTHING to make me change. I lost a 25 year matter, home, job etc…. now finally I am clean over 5 years and my life couldn’t be better!

I don’t feel sorry for anyone who has a chance to get treatment and doesn’t….that’s when I know when someone doesn’t want to get better! I’m sorry if I offended anyone, I’ve been there so I’m just speaking from my own experience

I have a mass on kidney, surgery Wednesday…hospital calls me asking for $1400.for surgery. My insurance will pay 80%. But wtf the drug addicts get free narcan, free ambulance ride,free or treatment and offered FREE help..something is wrong with this BS.

It’s sucks but when your doing that living that life death us all you want it’s the rush that everyone’s chasing that gets high but the real rush they want is death because they are to scared to face there fears and reality and yes I can say this because I shot heroin for 3 years I’ve been clean now 5 years so yes I can say and speak from experience that way if anyone thinks they should blame themselves for a person dieing from drugs do not blame yourself it there choice it’s what they wanted do not put the blame on yourself
Od at 6pm. Where do they find the time? I was tied up cleaning fluke from the fishing trip cause I washed the boat and got home late. Then prepared an exceptionally good cerviche and had some beer with friends.
Some people replying on here with the cold heart must not … smoke, ever been giving an addictive RX from a doctor.. tried alcohol.. smoked pot… ect…
