The Borough of Island Heights will be making speed limit changes to the following areas.

Central Avenue
-Route 37 to Lake Avenue is now a 30 mile per hour zone.
-Lake Avenue to River Avenue is now a 25 mile per hour zone.

Summit Avenue
-Entire roadway is now a 25 mile per hour zone.

River Avenue
-Southern intersection from West End Avenue to Central Avenue will be changed to a 25 mile per hour zone

Vansant Avenue
-Entire roadway will be changed to a 25 mile per hour zone.

West End Avenue
-Route 37 to River Avenue (Triangle Park) will be changed to a 30 mile per hour zone.

Please use due caution when traveling these roadways as some changes have taken affect immediately. We understand this is going to take some time to get used to, so please drive safe as traffic violations will be enforced.
