The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a man who allegedly stole a cell phone from a Verizon retail store in Upper Township, Cape May County.

On Sunday, September 18, at approximately 4:25 p.m., a male suspect entered the retail store on Roosevelt Boulevard and removed a cell phone from a display before exiting the store. The suspect then entered what appears to be a Buick Encore SUV with no front license plate, and fled the parking lot northbound towards Roosevelt Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, in his late 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5’10”, thin build, with an unidentified neck tattoo. He has long dark hair that was pulled into a ponytail or bun, and was last seen wearing a white tee shirt, dark pants, and a disposable medical face mask.
