In support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the New Jersey State Police partnered with the Burlington County Silent Witness Project and Providence House Domestic Violence Services to bring a Silent Witness Exhibit to Division Headquarters where enlisted and non-enlisted members had an opportunity to view it.

The exhibit is a visual memorial to victims of domestic violence, comprised of 10 red, life-sized silhouettes, each representing a victim who lost their life through an act of domestic violence. Each silhouette bears a shield with a summary about the victim.

If you or someone you know have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence, please contact your local law enforcement agency to report and/or call the New Jersey Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-572- SAFE (7233). The New Jersey Domestic Violence Hotline provides confidential access to domestic violence information and services, including crisis intervention, referral and advocacy. This hotline is bilingual and accessible to the deaf and hearing impaired.
