Seaside Heights: Delectable barbecue and lively musical entertainment headline the Que by the Sea barbecue festival here this weekend. The two-day, free-admission, festival will be on Grant Ave., just a short distance from The Classic American Boardwalk.

The festival features three of the top barbecue food trucks in the Northeast as well as both live musical performances and live on-air broadcast music by JerseyShoreCountry.com. Plus, there is a collection of arts and crafts vendors and additional food offerings. The event is designed to add extra enjoyment to a visit to the Boardwalk during the beautiful September weekends.

Que by the Sea is Saturday, September 18 from Noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday, September 19 from Noon to 6 p.m. Details, including an entertainment schedule, may be found at exit82.com/que.

Great barbecue is at the heart of Que. The three featured barbecue purveyors are Big Barlow’s BBQ, a local craft BBQ from Barnegat, NJ, Off the Bone BBQ from Columbus, OH, and Smoke Shack BBQ & Burgers, from Milford, NJ.

JerseyShoreCountry.com, which has a studio on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk and broadcasts on iHeartRadio, will be broadcasting live from the Que stage and will also offer some live performers. While JerseyShoreCountry.com is a country station, it will be providing a variety of music genres. 2 if by C, a dynamic duo covering music from the 60s to today, will be performing Saturday and Sunday. South 62, artists from Nashville, will display their love for traditional country music Saturday. Samantha Spano, singer and songwriter from NJ will perform Saturday. Sandi Joy, New Jersey’s own singer, songwriter, and member of Kickin’ Nash, will perform Sunday. The complete entertainment schedule is at exit82.com/que.

Of course, an anchor of the Que festival is Seaside Heights’ Classic American Boardwalk. Most Boardwalk businesses are still open this time of year on weekends starting around mid-day.

The opportunity to win a $100 Seaside Heights restaurant gift certificate just for visiting The Classic American Boardwalk and completing an online entry while on the boardwalk provides an extra incentive for visiting Que and The Classic American Boardwalk. There are five $100 gift certificates and five $50 gift certificates.

Plus, people can win a Seaside Heights Boardwalk memory board that normally costs $250 just for uploading a selfie of themselves taken in front of a Boardwalk business displaying the Coca Cola logo. Contest information may be found at exit82.com/win
