BRICK: Police, Fire & EMS are on scene at a residence on the 0 Block of Northrup in Brick for a medical emergency. The party was working under a vehicle, and apparently the jacks or jack stands gave out. This resulted in the victim being pinned under the vehicle somehow, but thankfully the vehicle didn’t fall and crush the party. The victim was able to get free from under the pinned vehicle, but EMS are still on scene evaluating any injuries.

this happens more often than people think. I always yell at my husband to throw the tire or blocks of wood under the car to stop it from falling on him. Prayers to this guy’

Būrïán Dírté lol. Noooo. My brothers always use the hydraulic lifts but also put the props under the tires to stabilize. My one brother has a car lift in his garage .. makes it a lot easier.

????????
This is one of my fears when my husband works on our cars. I don’t want to walk out into the garage and see this. One time he was working under a car, I went to bed and woke up a few hours later. Went to check on him. No answer when I called…I didn’t want to look…called again … walked over, he fell asleep.
Roberta Staples Cartwright I’m just laughing at the fell asleep apart. I felt that????
Samarra – all good. Wasn’t the first time, won’t be the last…..pictures next time! Lol

Here’s an FYI when you go under a vehicle, not only do I have great jackstands and jacks, I even back it up with a couple of rims too.
Nothing good happens in Brick.

Matt Clancy would you say that if it was your brother? God bless you
Jason Tirado sorry no pun intended
As a tech, this is one of my worst nightmares. Never trust a jack. Back it up with jack stands, rims, or wood even.
My best friend in the driveway is 20 10inch 4x4s. A few extra minutes of safety is always worth it.
Prayers for a speedy recovery
Hope the person envolved will be ok
