OCPO: The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of retired Seaside Heights Police Department Captain Jerry LaStella. Captain LaStella passed away early Christmas morning. After his long distinguished career with SHPD, Captain LaStella served as the Chief Police Instructor at the Ocean County Police Academy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and fellow officers. Rest in Peace Captain LaStella.
