A little girl is mourned after dying in an accident in a car driven by her allegedly intoxicated mother.

A heart wrenching tragedy less than a week from Thanksgiving where alcohol was mixed with driving, causing the death of an innocent.

According to a Pennsylvania news report from Fox56: “Paige Scully (Aubree’s mom), who police say was drunk, lost control of the car and crashed. Her four-year-old was severely hurt and had to be flown to Robert Packer Hospital where she later died. Police say they talked to Scully on the scene, and she had a strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath and body. Police add that she had glassy, red eyes and dilated pupils. Scully did undergo a sobriety test where police confirmed she was under the influence and therefore, incapable of safely operating a car.”

The obituary in the Keyport location of Day Funeral Home, shows the gravity of the loss of such a beautiful little girl: Aubree Arlene Engstrom, age 4, born on July 18, 2016, passed away in the early morning of November 18, 2020. “Our  beloved little Bree Bree loved adventure. She loved eating candy, going to the creek to collect fossils, she was an expert swimmer, and she always stopped to smell the flowers. She loved playing with her Barbie’s, playing hide-and-seek, and she would never pass up an opportunity to paint. Every room she stomped into, she lit up with her beautiful smile. Her smile and contagious laugh will be sorely missed by everyone she knew.”
