He wouldn’t be doing it if he didn’t see personal gain. Also, he is the one with the targeted task force going in to towns. Make no mistake, he is trying to put a buffer between he and the consequences of his actions better he starts campaigning. He’ll still wield the powers of the state of emergency as a hammer over the heads of the municipalities.
This shouldn’t even be an issue. People should be determining the level of personal risk that is acceptable to them. A federal, state, county, or local government should not. It is downright scary how much individual liberty people are willing to give for the false perception of safety.
We’ll see if he lets the state of emergency expire, or extends it again.

Keeping a store open longer hours doesn’t mean more people are going to shop there, it means the people who want to shop there have more time to do so and can decide to go at less busy times. Limiting hours means that all the shoppers have to cram in during the open times, no?
