Lacey: US 9 @ Laurel- MVA. One vehicle vs. utility pole with significant damage. Reportedly the driver crashed into the pole and fled on foot. Police captured the driver near Walmart, and drugs may have been a factor. Expect delays as crews make repairs to the pole.

That’s what happened. I was on the 559 and we got detoured onto the street that becomes Manchester Avenue to Haines Street.
Also, Lake Barnaget was also closed in the same area.
so why is it taking so long to fix? its like all day…what a mess

These poor telephone poles. They should start replacing them with concrete or steel ones like they have in Florida
