Legalize it!!
No real surprises there
Nice work, sliced your throat from the tax revenues…..
Yeah no kidding. This article is so full of crap and using fear mongering techniques. Just do the math. Colorado has approximately 5 million people and bring almost a billion a year in tax revenue from marijuana sales. How much revenue will an overly populated state like New Jersey bring in? Secondly after living in colorado for 20 years, they have always had the highest homeless population, this is not new or news, don’t blame it on legal weed, blame the mild winters and beautiful weather year round and the fact that Colorado actually helps homeless people. In fact, becauae of a surplus of tax revenue from legal marijuana sales, the schools are fully funded, the main beneficiary of the revenue, and aren’t in need of anything right now, the surplus is going to building more housing for the homeless and other programs for the homeless.
The reefer madness attitudes have to stop and any politician who is voting on issues like this need to be educated better on rhis subject they obviously know nothing about.
Robert Berrios Well said Bob. That’s part of why the legislators traveled to different states to see what works and what doesn’t. Another town in Bergen County just voted to ban it also. Citing exposure for minors. Uh, they use it now, from the black market. Duh.
Banning sales in your town wont stop it being in your town. Anyone who wants it will just drive to get it and bring it back. Nice job cutting yourself out of the tax revenue.
A strain on the states resources? Kind of like the opiate crisis you just stand back and watch? No strain there
