Lakewood: Earlier today we heard a call for an emergency landing by a medevac at the Lakewood Municipal Airport. It turned out this was a drill, which we caught moments later. The post ran prematurely, and in the 2 minutes it was up, it got screen spotted by the haters. After we went back to listen to the audio again, we discovered it was ONLY a Drill and we changed the post appropriately. Either way, we made a mistake as other news agencies do too. In regards to today, it wasn’t fake news, it was only thankfully a drill.
Thank you to the polite people who followed up as reassurance, and thanks to one special hater. She knows who she is ? and we’re not shutting anything down, and neither are you sweetheart. Keep checking the website and reading, we appreciate it!
Our sincerest apologies to the crew at Lakewood Airport and Monoc1. Mistakes happen, and our 5+ year track record shows this was an isolated incident.
Those who have followed the page for years know we aren’t perfect and mess up once in a while. We apologize to anyone who was involved and are thankful it was only a drill.
Ocean County Scanner News damn, you’re human!
Like you said, it could happen to anyone. Secondly, warning people that they might be in the area of a malfunctioning aircraft is information that has to be disseminated quickly if it is to be of any use.
If we got everything wrong, we wouldn’t have any readers left. Thanks for the support, both of you! ❤️

It used to be easier to listen when Monoc1 had their own channel. Now they’ve all moved to the state 700 MHz system somewhere.
It’s ok I still love you guys lol
