MTV Jersey Shore alum Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was sentenced to eight months in prison and two years of supervised release for tax evasion, People.com reported.
Sorrentino and his brother, Marc, pled guilty to multiple tax offenses on $9 million of income in January. They were charged back in 2014.
A federal judge sentenced Marc Sorrentino to two years in prison Friday afternoon.

Not to mention all the restitution was prepaid in full a long time ago. Was never a fan of this man but he has my respect for changing his life 100%. I have heard him talk recently and he is not who he was.

Vera Auriemma I mean.. just read what people have to say about him that know him other than what’s being shown to you on a TV screen. Everyone used to hate Mike. He was annoying and caused problems. He’s a completely different person now and actually relatable and inspirational. He’s showing youth that you can still have fun without alcohol or drugs after battling drug and alcohol addiction which we all know is a huge challenge. Regardless, actions have consequences, but I think his sentencing is outrageous, especially when comparing it to something like, say Turners case of raping that girl. Turner got LESS TIME FOR RAPE. Even tho Mike paid the restitution fee.. he’s going away longer than turner. makes no sense to me. Threats to society deserve longer sentencing, not reality TV stars. It just goes to show that our justice system is flawed and needs to be fixed.

As a person that paid taxes on every dime I made he should have to also pay his taxes plus I worked a lot harder.
