Barnegat: As of 14:00 some of the command post is being deactivated. At one point, the OC Sheriff’s Department (Drone & K9), NJSP Helicopter, and numerous other rescuers descended on the woods behind Tedesco Way looking for 14 year old Michael Briganti. We first broke the story last night as a friend of the family reached out to the page asking for our assistance. A photo was provided, and we ran the story with hopes to get his name and face out to the public as soon as we could. Michael was last seen leaving the Brackman Middle School in his soccer uniform yesterday afternoon. This is being treated as a runaway incident; NOT a kidnapping.

Michael is a white male, 5’6″ tall weighing 127 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a white Brackman School sports jersey with the #25, white soccer shorts, white socks, and black Nike sneakers.

Anyone with information on the missing juvenile is asked to contact the Barnegat Police at 609-698-5000.

NEWS: Jersey Shore Online: Press Release

Update (15:23): OCSD & OCPO are returning to their HQ. It sounds like the command post is being broken up, and some of the heavy searching is ending. Unknown if they will resume again later, or if Barnegat PD will continue to search on their own.
