Structure Fire
On September 19, 2018 at 4:08 AM, Police and Fire units responded to the report of a structure fire at 2345 Route 9, Frank’s Business Park. A passerby reported seeing flames and smoke from somewhere in the area of the business park. Fire personnel from Pleasant Plains Fire Co. along with Toms River Fire Dept #2 responded and brought the fire under control. The fire was extinguished and businesses were ventilated.
The fire is currently being investigated by Toms River Fire Bureau Investigator Richard Foster. Preliminary investigation indicates the origin of the fire appears to be accidental and started in unit #5, Access Motor Cars.
Investigation remains active by The Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention, Ocean County Prosecutors Office and the Toms River Police Department. There were no injuries. The connecting businesses suffered smoke damage.
