Brian Murray. Buying a Contact????
Esther Colando maybe ???
Amanda Lopez
Heather Nicole this is a fear of mine I always double check when I’m closing up and check the parking lot for any cars just in case cuz once I’m home I’m not going back out ??
Amanda Lopez lol i don’t you! Besides it’s like they’ll starved and theres a bathroom. They’ll be ok.
Heather Nicole yea but it also doesnt make sence cuz once the alarm is set the lights go out only emergency lights stay on plus the motion detector would have gone off so would you have questioned when the lights went out and then get to the door as quickly as possible to set off the alarm just saying. I mean the supervisor should have been paying attention to their surrounding and took a quick glance down the aisles but also why was the customer not educated on their store hours. Also why didn’t they set off the alarm it’s a motion detector and if the front door is locked you just have to try to unlock and the alarm will go off and they will call the supervisor that closed the store they know by what code was used to set the alarm or common sense tells you there is a fire door so why not use it to get out…
I mean yes of course it is the supervisor/managers responsibility to take a quick walk through the store before leaving
Amanda Lopez We did see a car when we left, but sometimes people use out parking lot, there are other stores and a bar right across the street.
Amanda Lopez I did check everything I was supposed to check. The reason why she was only in there for a few minutes was because the alarm always beeps for a minute or two when you leave the store. Like I said above I stayed in the parking lot because I noticed the lights were not going out, that’s why I went right back in.
Amanda Lopez why didn’t the person yell when the lights went off like hey I’m still here! It just doesn’t make sense. Maybe a set up?
Patricia Miller-Schoonmaker I don’t think it was a set up on your end fyi but that person scoping your routine out. Accidents happen but they didn’t notice you closing?
Heather Nicole I live in Beachwood and work in Bayville. There are a lot of shady people out there and I have to be aware of that all the time in my job, but I do not think this woman was planning some sort major heist. She falls into the category of people who are totally oblivious to anything and anyone around them. They are all over the place lately it seems….its their world, and everyone else has to deal with it. Its the woman who holds up the line at Shop Rite, who has to look over her entire receipt, who blocks the aisle with her cart, when they know you want unload your groceries, its the man who pays and then says I’ve got the change, and takes two days to look for it, its the person who has completed a transaction, but won’t move their bags cause they have to organize their wallet, snap it shut and almost bang into you cause they have no idea anyone is behind them, the ones you hold the door for, no acknowledgement, they have blinders on. They are almost robot like…So this woman sounds more like one of these….she came in late, her agenda was using her coupons, her mission find all the discounted items, she may have been bending down to reach some must have item, that the manager could have easily missed her. We would have easily known that the place was getting ready to close up, there are signs, her focus was using her coupons. She didn’t even notice the lights dimming, or that there was no one around. She found her items and waited for a cashier….luckily the manager noticed that something was not right, and she said the woman was standing waiting to pay…totally oblivious to anything else. Meanwhile the manager is probably thinking “Where in the Hell was this woman hiding” The woman doesn’t even react to almost being locked in a store all night….nope, she needs to use these coupons. One can only wonder….if the closing manager had not gone back in, would the woman have still been waiting for the cashier when they came in to open in the morning LOL Or I could be totally wrong and she was hiding in the air conditioning duct work looking for the easy way into the pharmacy, and the manager returning ruined her plan….Thought a little humor would lighten up this story….
Nancy McRoberts Balaz Thank you Nancy
How does that happen ?
I know this isn’t really funny, but come on now, it this for real???
Donna Richards

I’m sure it’s real, but I’m still shaking my head at this.

Bathroom….. they probably took forever, came out n store was closed
Lisa Caroccia-Serra Omgeee ??♀️
I can’t take these articles not saying any info!! Like why is he locked in there. I’m assuming the store closed already and they were shopping still and the employees missed them or maybe in the bathroom ? But how in the heck do you get locked in!!!
Kristy Molnar-Veneruso it isn’t an article. It is a call into the police department and what is reported over the scanner.
i get that but still they don’t say why? I just said article because that’s what I read felt like it was An article.
Kristy Molnar-Veneruso let’s all just assume they were poopin.
Kristy Molnar-Veneruso that info is not reported. Just the call in for assistance
Kristy Molnar-Veneruso They aren’t allowed a to say why and they dont really know details either. My son as a dispatcher and only so much information comes through on the scanners. Say an accident comes in over the scanner they only say there is an MVA at a location and how many people are involved. It doesn’t give you the names of the people and what caused it and so on and so forth.
Brian Murray never assume that. They could have just been peeing – lol
thanks everyone !
Kristy Molnar-Veneruso Just read comments everyones an investigator lol Where an ant hill was a mountain then a bump then a ant hill again lol

Beachwood is on a roll tonight
Job Opening: Key Holder CVS Beachwood NJ
Omg Laura Manresa
Okay, so I was on tonight and the women was literally in the store for two minutes. I never even left the parking lot yet. I saw the alarm light on. She was just standing there waiting to check out and never noticed that the store was closed. I had to sign the register back on because she wanted to use her coupons. Not a big thing and don’t even know why it was reported.
She wasn’t nervous banging on the door, she was just still waiting for the cashier so she could check out. The back room, bathroom and aisles were checked before we locked up. I don’t know where the hell she was in the store.
And the police weren’t called because someone was locked in the store, they came to the store because of the alarm, I was the one who told them someone was still in the store.
Patricia Miller-Schoonmaker I love how headlines completely destroy an entire situation.
?
Patricia Miller-Schoonmaker
Thanks for the update and clarification. It was dispatched this was.
Pattie Guglielmi-Agosto Really, plus a picture to boot like it was such a big deal and that the woman spent the night in the store. Like I said, I hadn’t even left the parking lot yet.
Got to love media that’s why I say they are full of crap 90% of the time
Ocean County Scanner News okay so it was dispatched that way and turned out be the total opposite but yet you post it that way that could possibly hurt the reputation of that company and you should redact your post
Roger Bacon Thank You Roger, God knows what will happen for me when I go back to work today. This could make me lose my job because of the Headline with the picture. It makes CVS look bad, not me and they’re not going to be happy with that.
LuAnn Bennes
Did you read Patty’s comments. Totally not true and exaggerated 100%. Too funny
I was a shift b Supervisor for cvs, I never locked up before checking every single area of the store back to front. Not even sure how this even happened.
Sacheen Welch Did you read the ladies comment of what really happened or did you just assume that the news headline was correct?
Pattie Guglielmi-Agosto I read it. I’m not understanding how she set the alarm and stuff with someone inside of the store. I get it that the person wasn’t in distress. But obviously the customer was missed while checking the store.
Sacheen Welch Obviously, really I was in a rush to get home and feed my two cats.
Wow, must be nice to be so perfect. Good for you.
Pattie Guglielmi-Agosto Thank you Pattie
Every crack and crevice should be checked even the shitter. Obviously it wasn’t…. no excuse/blame game, if your in charge…. do your job… I can’t wait to leave my job every night, but those doors aren’t locked until every single thing is off. Hope this person doesn’t get in trouble but…..take that extra 5 minutes to make sure all is secure.
Thank you for your concern, everything was checked, I don’t know where she was. I’ve spent 17 years in this business, and have closed many times. I wasn’t making excuses or blaming anybody. Hopefully if you ever make a mistake at your job, it’s not reported so that people can make you sound like you’re an irresponsible ass.
Kathleen Martinez well like the employee said in a previous post she was rushing to leave so she could feed her 2 cats. Good pr for cvs would be for the employee to stop commenting.
Melissa Gregg I think I was only kidding, being sarcastic. Believe me when I tell you I have no reason to rush home.
And until you have people bashing you for something that is none of anyone’s business, then you can throw stones.
Patricia Miller-Schoonmaker Strange situation. I wouldn’t comment anymore for the sake of your employers reputation. Just friendly advice.
Melissa Gregg Why do you think I’m not already going to lose my job because of this. Thankfully my boss is on vacation until Wednesday. then I’ll hear it. I’m 65 and support myself, so I really appreciate the big thing that was made of something so minor. I just wrote to OC Scanner News, and I want this whole thing taken down. I can’t help but defend myself. I work to hard to have something so stupid like this bring me down.
Melissa Gregg 108, comments, 44 shares, 160 likes, laughs and wows, How am I supposed to be reacting right now. Now I know the politicians feel about fake news.
Patricia Miller-Schoonmaker well it was just a dispatch call and this page is a page that reports dispatch calls. They did their job. And a person was locked in the store doesn’t matter how long so no, not fake news.
Should have been a liquor store more fun.
I bet the person was taking a wicked dump in the bathroom and they came out to only be locked in a closed store lol
CVS Bananier Rd TR Is open 24 hours. Maybe she thought the same for Bayville store?
Ivette Rivero Manton
Debbi was it you??? ???♀️
