The streets of Brooklyn were crowded when tens of thousands of people hit the streets for the funeral of a grand rabbi.

Officers were trying to do crowd control during the procession from 52nd street to 61st street and 12th ave to 16th ave in Borough Park. Some estimates say as many as One Hundred Thousand (100,000) mourners were in attendance.

95 year old Rabbi Yisroel Avrohom Protugal was surrounded by his family at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore when he died on Monday.

An NYPD officer suffered a leg injury after struck by one of the cars in the funeral procession.

The officer was transported to Lutheran Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, possibly a broken ankle.

The second officer was struck in the head by a drone apparently being used by a person attending the services.

36-year-old Yehiel Rosenfeld (drone operator) was charged with reckless endangerment after losing control of the device.
