Brick: Overdose. Dispatch advises the victim was unconscious, but is now good thanks to three shots of Narcan.

Forever fun
Jen Isenmann grow up
Truth hurts
Danny Marinella it’s hard to deny the facts… they are REPEAT OFFENDERS…. 2 sometimes 3 times a week… stop coddling and allowing them to suck up valuable time from important emergency response resources like EMS, police, fire, and the er drs and nurses…do you know how many er rooms are taken up weekly by them and prevent patients from getting timely care when they are sick?! I’ve dealt with it personally. Do you know how disruptive they are in the er?! Down right abusive- verbally and physically! If your “kid” has problem get them help I’m over the bs of saying this is someones child… and? How about start thinking less selfishly and start thinking that’s someones family that was killed on rt 23 a few months ago and the countless other innocent deaths caused by people overdosing… or the emergency response personnel are pushed to their breaking points emotionally and physically… they are drained and tired from the endless calls many that aren’t even reported on this site, yes there’s a much bigger world out there. We need to start looking at where the parents didn’t do their job as a parent! I see so many parents afraid to parent their child in my field. It’s why these kids are not able to cope with today’s world! They aren’t prepared for the real world of “adulting.” They are use to getting participation trophies!!! God helps anyone who tries to give my kids a participation trophy… save it they need to learn what it feels like to lose, what it feels like not to be as good as someone else athletically, academically etc. Stop caring and start making a change in the community you live in if you feel bad for these people. Go sit in a wawa parking lot or pull up to the countless motels you’ll be able to pick them out in a heart beat go tall to them and you’ll see why more people have stopped caring and are tired of hearing about Narcan. Give them a dose of reality. Preach to them why they need to save themselves. Because when they are finally ready to save themselves is when their cycle of abuse will stop and they will get help. And 1 last note… it’s sad when they are starting to offer adulting classes for today’s teens because they are graduating high school without knowing how to complete an envelope, pay their Bill’s, cook, do their laundry or fill out a check- I mean really everyday things that they should know. I kid you not! Tell me who failed them?! Not the teachers… no they dont live with their students… it’s the parents. Stop being scared people! Do your job- raise your kids responsibly. Make them good people who make good decisions and let them fail growing up because when the real world hits them and they fail and they are use to being saved nobody will save them. Nobody will hand them a job. Nobody is going to pay their bills for them. They need to be able to survive on their own and be good decision makers. Life is suppose to be hard. Because the hard is what makes it so good-truly you work hard and the reward is a nice house, a nice car, a family, vacations…. you dont just get handed everything! It’s not meant to be easy. Doors will be shut in their faces teach them that!
Absolutely! Let me tell you, my kids used to call me the mean mom, the tough mom, I didnt do their laundry after age 12, made one meal per night loved but didnt coddle, gave them the straight truth whether they wanted it or not…well they got to high school and saw how ill prepared their peers are and have since thanked me for all of the mean mom stuff.
Michelle Denisewicz that was well said!!
Amy Cavanaugh thank you!
Michelle Denisewicz probably the best written, fact filled post I have read in a long time. But unfortunately Phil Murphy still thinks more of your tax dollars need to be wasted and is busy setting up safe injection sites where these “addicts” will be allowed to “safely” inject their poison ☠️ consequence free, under the supervision of qualified poison injection personnel. All paid with OUR hard earned tax dollars…..can’t wait to see the return on investment we get from this program.
Michelle Denisewicz was good till the trophy stuff
Vincent Barletto till we have a totally ransparant I mean like kellyanne Conway’s head transparent forms of government. Good luck thinking we’ll ever know where our money goes. Look at that stadium in TR. wasn’t free and it has had what like 9 name changes?
Danny Marinella How about the junkies grow up??? That’s a better idea!
Michelle Denisewicz
Michelle Denisewicz thank you maybe a few will now understand
Jen Isenmann your a moron , ass
Michelle Denisewicz I’m not reading your whole post it’s too friggin long but I’m going to say this you complain of the endless hours the EMTs have to do because of drug overdose is isn’t that their job they chose this job and that is what they must do or quit ! I don’t agree with what I did read from you , if they don’t wana save a life then quit !!!!!
Monique, that is an ignorant comment. They did choose this job, but every call responding to an overdose makes wait times and response times longer for let’s say…the little kid who got injured…the dad who is having a heart attack…
These emts will save their lives repeatedly…but if they dont care for their own life why on earth should anyone else?
Michelle Denisewicz I wish I could love this comment over and over again.
Michelle Denisewicz yes they are repeat offenders, but you have no idea at all how hard it is to stay off of heroin! if it was that easy I’m sure people could stop doing it just like that! but it takes at least a year or more to fully recover and finally stay off it! not just a week or 1 month but a while! it’s not all the parents fault either! we raised our kids in the best house and I’ve talked to my kids about drugs all the time! and still my oldest daughter wound up starting heroin! all because her bf was doing it and got her into it! this has nothing to do with any parents! it only takes that one person or that one kids friend to get them into it! and i see you have kids also on your page! please dont ever think that just by a parent trying to do their jobs or doing their jobs will ever prevent some kids from still starting up! you cannot run around and stalk and chase your kids around 24 hours a day to see what their getting into! because it only takes that one person to get them hooked! and this could be one of your kids one day also! don’t ever think for 1 second and sit here and say this could never happen to my kids either! because drugs affect everybody! and some of the best families ever! yes some of them can be disruptive and I know its frustrating! but maybe if we didn’t have so many drug dealers standing around also selling the dam poison we wouldn’t have so many kids hooked on it! it’s time the police in this state started throwing all the loser drug dealers in prison instead of driving by and doing nothing when they are standing around selling! because I’ve seen numerous police in Camden and Atlantic city that do nothing at all! just sit there and let it all go down! including the ridiculous bail reform this state has too! I’m sure if they all started going in prison for years finally, their wouldn’t be so many kids getting access to this junk! this is my daughter that’s been in recovery for years! and still struggles sometimes! should i or the e.m.t.s just let her lay there to pass away??? shes used heroin for years thanks to the one night it took her bf to get her hooked! now look how great she looks! she has struggled! and still is sometimes…heroin is the hardest thing to stay off of! but there is a lot of kids that do recover it just takes a long time! but put yourself in my position!!! if this was one of your kids! take care
shes now 6 months pregnant and doing better! it’s a struggle sometimes but shes been trying and going to treatment outpatient everyday!
Danny Marinella God Bless her!!!!! And let her know recovery is definitely worth it!!!??
Monique Boutillette-Gilbert should have taken the time to read it. People like you are part of the problem with the world. Their job is to save lives. Lives wanting to be saved. I have numerous friends in all those fields and they too are tired of it .
Danny Marinella your daughter is beautiful and I’ll will pray every day that her struggle gets easier but, she’s fighting correct? She got help correct? Has she overdosed multiple times a day multiple times a week? From the sounds of it you are doing the right thing, but for the majority they aren’t. You have to know that. I wish her all the best with her pregnancy and that it brings her a fresh start.
you cant force an addict to get help. Just know that.
Keep giving them more excuses to use and not deal with said consequences and you’ll never fix the problem
Andrew Simons so should they watch them die? Honestly, what about car accidents if someone was speeding should they not yet rescued? Or domestic violence should police say, well you married him. What about robbery? Well why did you buy such a fancy car/house/expensive jewelry? I am pissed off about the drug problem we have but I am not in favor of letting people die if we have the ability to save them.
Maura Lee I see what your saying and they should be left to die but there has to be consequences fit it though you get in a accident speeding you get multiple tickets higher insurance costs etc you rob a bank you go to jail and get arrested for domestic violence why do people knowingly breaking the law doing digs get away Scott free there has to be consequences or they will be doing it over and over again I also understand jails are expensive and too full but they need more then rehab or them saying have a nice day I’ll be back tomorrow to give you the next Narcam shot.
Erica Gordon I think it is because it is classified as a disease and jail has been proven to not be the solution.
Their disease started with a choice. I’ve lost to many friends to this. Coming up on one year that my bestfriend died we tried helping. And when they keep saying it will never happen to me. I dont know how these dumb fucks keep sticking themselves after watching their friends die I felt sad for the kid I buried. I didnt feel bad. I felt bad for his parents me and hundreds of other people are numb from loosing friends/family to herion. Continue to let them drop they’re not hurting anyone but themselves. Give them 3 chances with narcan on the books 3 strikes and your out
Mike Hurley that is ridiculous…lol
Maybe they’ll learn most of them continue to have the it’s not going to happen to me I trust my dealer. Like that’s not how it works.
Mike Hurley I think logic stops working and I don’t think consequences matter.
3 shots of Narcan. Holy crow.
Who pays fir all of thst
Don’t worry… diabetes meds just tripled.
You!!
Marylou Mccarthy YOU saved a life today !
end the negative comments already people…narcan has not 1 thing to do with big pharmaceutical companies ripping people off! this could be one of your kids going through this today also! just something to think about…
The federal government decided that seniors were responsible for all the overdoses and wrote a new law saying Medicare now has to pay the $3,300. per dose, the same Narcan that is given out to practically everyone who serves the public.
that’s totally false nonsense Renee Lachapelle and narcan doesn’t cost $3,300 per dose either! its between $20 to $40 for generic and $120 brand name! and stop trusting the or listening to our crooked government that allows big pharmaceutical companies to keep ripping us off! just like the epi pens went from $200 to $600! total nonsense ripoffs! giving narcan to help them is needed! how about New Jersey starts locking more drug dealers up? and get rid of the bail reform huh? instead of harassing all the addicts!
No one but the streets pays for it. Its A pilot program! Read up people! Its part of the opioid overdose act!!! Drug /drugmoney being taken off the streets in raids pays for it! Know your facts!
Kristina Marie finally someone else who knows where the money comes from.
Kristina Marie That’s wonderful as parts of towns fall apart and roads in some towns go unpaved, good thing there’s free $ from drug busts for Narcan lol if it doesn’t get shoved into their pockets first
This is our future generation…
People keep trying to leave NJ… smh.
Only 3 ?
He’s “good” now. ??? prob had the next needle in his arm before the first responders even pulled away
Wonder if it was at my neighbors house
Now they are well enough to do it again. SMH.
Darla Jolley Kelly just like the diabetic who ate a box of donuts and went into diabetic shock, got 911 there and they gave them insulin to save their life only to go home and eat 5 candy bars
Or 600 lb betty down the street….has a heart attack ems come save her life, day she’s released from hospital goes home and eats 2 lbs of bacon, 3 bags of chips and 8 greasy cheeseburgers
Chelle Shell maybe instead of giving them Narcan and sending them in their way they should send them to rehab so that they can get help. And a box of donuts is very unlikely to send someone into diabetic shock.
They do. And for those who don’t keep up on what’s going on its paid by all the drugs and money pulled off the streets by our police due to the prosecuters office. Its all about perspective. And the ones who talk negative about these issues or any other issues for that matter contribute to the problem instead of the solution. The sad part is, is that an addict is doing what they know, using. But the dealer is dealing poison and not what the addict thinks they are using hence they are overdosing and dying. They need help not negativity and criticism. Know what your talking about before making wise cracks thanks! Thank God we didn’t lose another one!!!!!! ??????
Darla Jolley Kelly they do. If they refuse Medical treatment, they sre then charged.
Dave Meyer there is nothing that can find that shows that there is any requirement for drug treatment unless it’s voluntary and if they don’t want treatment they don’t have to go. It all shows that there is no arrests for calling for or asking for intervention for a drug overdose. If there is no requirement for rehab or jail it just perpetuates the problem. They can’t involuntary commit a person for rehab. They have had people given Narcan hours after being given it for a previous overdose. It not criticism It’s reality. If your not going to treat the addiction than Narcan is like giving Methadone to heroin addicts. They get addicted to Methadone instead.
Chelle Shell not even close to relevant
Darla Kelly and what do you know about methadone as it relates to heroin and drug treatment?
three shots of that! Wow!
I’m sure these people aren’t thinking when they are using that narcan will rescue them. They’re using because they’re so addicted and need help.
Tracy McCabe actually not true. Many addicts will get narcan and keep it on hand. They push the limits so far trying to achieve a higher high.
I didn’t know that, but I can certainly see why
Edward T Knoblock Jr. Yeah, because when they are overdosing, they can administer it to themselves ??♂️??♂️??♂️
Tracy McCabe Many addicts do not fear death and do not keep Narcan on hand. Years ago there were many deaths from a batch going around (each batch has a brand). There were actually people looking for this brand. This was before Narcan. Not every addict has a batch of Narcan in case. If this person did, we wouldn’t be commenting on the post bc we wouldn’t know.
Dave Meyer when overdosing, they rarely can administer it to themselves. Usually it’s a loved one that administers it
Jane Kartanowicz Doherty no ???♂️??♂️??♂️
Jane Kartanowicz Doherty The whole situation is very sad, so many lives lost. Addiction is like a living hell. Well, I pray for everyone going through this and their families. ??
No consequences! Wow, just wow!
Lori Verello-Calderon I thought if they received EMS treatment and Narcan, it was mandatory they go to the hospital?
No they can go back to the same house 3 or 4 times a day and save the same individual, without any consequences! Not really sure why we are playing God to them.
Let em die
Well, just by the comments, we can see who would let their own child die if this was them overdosing
Chelle Shell ???
Chelle Shell no they went in they would be screaming for help if it was their child but because it’s not they don’t care that’s the problem selfish disgusting uneducated people
Chelle Shell exactly I am never seen such heartless cruel comments in my life yeah these people have a drug addiction problem and it’s serious it’s bad but they’re not even thinking about the families the torment the pain that’s left of losing someone to addiction you know you people think it’s so easy for them to get off of it.Do you think that they were born saying OK I’m going to I have an addiction in my life for the rest of my life no do some education for yourselves people put too magnets together see if you could pull them apart they separate for a second and pull right back in that’s your best example of an addict I had to educate my own self to learn how they truly feel what their life is like and how hard it is to get off of that shit what you wrote not everybody so lucky to get saved so think about the comments that you guys make because someone’s loved ones didn’t make it Count your blessings it was you guys or someone you know.
Barbara Minue. My bestfriend I spent every single day of my childhood died almost a year ago. I’ve lost 15 friends in the past 9 years to herion and I’m 23 and they all know eachother. So guess what. I never shed a tear for who they became. I felt bad for the family and gave my helping hand. But I have no pity or sorrow. If you can watch your friends around you die and continue to say it’s not gonna happen to me their is no helping you. I’ve seen addicts go clean no problem friends who dropped it the day on of our friends o.d and died never picked it back up. Those who say they cant get clean lack willpower and self control and self respect.
My daughter accomplished 2 years clean yesterday, she is about to have her 1st child…would love to see you all tell her to her face that 2 years ago she deserved to die and not have a chance at a great life…so pretty much you all are saying just that…my daughter wasn’t the scum of the earth and still isn’t…
I find NONE of this to be funny!
My mom waited 3 hours today for an X-ray
Michael Phillips welcome to SOCIALIZE MEDICINES
Michael Phillips she wasn’t dying, was she?
Knox Patrick it was like that long before
Jessica Rasmussen really??
You got some troubles Fire, overdoses, fire and brimstone!
This is sad. But seriously, who pays for this?
Christy Engle sorry about the message don’t ask me about how it went that way
Christy Engle the stupid tax payers
Christy Engle yup and it will stay that way since all lives even the Judas’ and anti Semitic shitbags n the “addiction is not a disease” morons
The person who needed the narcan is billed
Eileen Dodd Bivona sadly these idiots dont have jobs we are paying for their drugs that they od on then the drugs ti revive them so they can go do it all over again
Should only be allowed to be used once after that tough shit its their choice not anyone else’s
My God all the ignorant comments.
Thank God for the Safetynet
He’s good til the next time
How come i can get arrested for being “drunk in public” then….
Brandon Calogero because you cannot get drunk in a bar anymore
Scott A Barnes challenge accepted
Just to do it all again tomorrow……..?♂️
Saved by the taxpayer N-candybar, be back at it real soon…..
3 shots
I have to wait 2 hours at a doctor office and maybe seen but just OD and You will have 10 people there helping you
Dave Sandoval play dead, someone will come help you too.
Maura Lee such a dick
Dave Sandoval Really you are an ignorant moron
Dave Sandoval like it or not Narcan is a life saving measure that hopefully no one you love will ever need. I’m sure if you go into cardiac arrest during your 2 hour wait at the doctors office you will have 10 people there helping you as well.
Lisa Gee shit up junkie lover
Yeah Lisa Gee, shit up ??
Eliza Beth ok Oreo
Monique Boutillette-Gilbert mind your business
Eliza Beth wow! He’s a real winner?
Dave Sandoval junkie lover? A bit presumptuous, no? Actually I am lucky enough NOT to have anyone I love in active addiction. HOWEVER, you sir are a complete asshole. Good day?
Lisa Gee shut up and mind your business go mop the floor
Dave Sandoval you’re not dying. ?
Dave Sandoval EMTs are to revive, not treat.
Just like a cardiac patient- revive.
Overdose- revive.
That is their job.
Jessica Rasmussen so what does that mean I’m not dying I’m also not committing suicide every day taking heroin then someone has to come revive the junky on tax payer dollars
Jessica Rasmussen dumb ass hell
Good to know the naysayers have no say in this program. We allow the one who take money in to begin with. Knowing they are shit because of the failed and bs two party system
I’m sure you were attempting to say something. Try again but a little bit closer to English
Gotta love those who think they are grammar experts.
It’s way beyond grammar dude you wrote gibberish.
Paul Schlaflin and your “ degree” in world languages or communication is what where? Thought so. Usually the wannabe grammar cops use this because they deflect , and are not smart enough to have an adult or educated response. So thank you for participating kinda. Go try to troll someone else
Stop wasting everyone’s time. Unfortunately they are doing a drug knowing that it will kill them…so if they want to kill themselves let them.
Nicole Etch too bad Snapchat filters can’t filter he ugly inside you also
Kellee-shea Graham I am not worried about my insides they are not filled with drugs. But thanks for your concern. The truth hurts doesn’t it.
Nicole Etch truth?what truth?you spoke nothing but vile opinions.i have never done drugs,so I don’t know exactly how much truth was in your shitty comment….you on the other hand look like a meth addict no matter how many filters you put on.although I’ve never had to fight demons of that proportion,I feel for those that feel so low, they have no value to their life.but I on the other hand think they deserve at least one fighting sober chance.so take your pathetic “truth hurts” comment and shove it up your shitty jailhouse tattooed ass cheeks.☺️☺️ peace be with you
Nicole Etch so if someday your own child has this disease, will you then be willing to say “no narcan, let them die?”
3 shots of narcan on us. Yeah no problem go back to your disease.
Came just for the COMMENTS…
Fuck that guy. Another dope head around.
Well now I know that Top Fan means Top Asshole comments. ???
I’m shocked by all of these ignorant comments. What if this was your own child? Addicts are still people and still need help! Are we all sick of seeing these posts? Yes, but that doesn’t mean y’all need to be assholes about it.
What a joke. And what a waste of money. Narcan is simply an enabler because these people are addicts and they’re going to shoot up again. And again. And again. Perhaps the Narcan is “free” (although we’re all intelligent enough to know that nothing comes for free), but tax payer dollars are paying for the first responders “saving” these junkies time and time again. Their time could be spent helping people who truly want to be helped. Junkies simply want their next fix.
What I find completely shocking is the people on here that I personally KNOW that are either in recovery or have/had a family member suffering from addiction that are saying things. Must make some of you better than. Keep it green people. There but for the Grace of God go I
Diane Araneo for the millionth time yes, we are better than junkies. Those of us who are responsible, make the right choice, go to work, pay taxes, help our friends, family, and loved ones, and don’t steal and rob our families and innocent people, are light years better than you can even dream any pillar of humanity junkie to be.
Christopher John Karbownik why block your comment?
Keep enabling addicts… smdh
Joshua Poppe really? How was that enabling someone? Although I do not agree on them using Narcan 50 times to help one person and I do feel once somebody is Narcan and they should have to go to the hospital and have to go into a rehab that should become a law, but God for bid one of your family members overdoses should we just walk away? People really need to start thinking before they speak these people that are overdosing our someone’s mother fathers Sister brother son daughter or grandchild, their life is just as important as someone that’s not on drugs I’m sorry, I am more upset over the comments that I hear from people don’t speak of something you don’t know of because one day it can happen to you or your family , it makes me sick when I read these disgusting comments about someone’s life!
Monique Boutillette-Gilbert… keep giving free Marian, and saying oh look you can overdose, but narcan can save ya… that’s called enabling
Joshua Poppe try again
Joshua Poppe nobody wakes up and says oh I think I’m going to become a drug addict , Something Happens how about all you people with these disgusting comments get educated on it, and what’s funny is I don’t have any one that’s on drugs in my household or my close family and I thank God for that every day but I have seen other families suffer with this, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone and I sure as hell wouldn’t say leave them to die again that’s somebody’s family member I just can’t understand how people can talk like this about another person life ! Should all be ashamed of yourself !
The problem is the repeat offenders they are not forced to go to the emergency room nor are they forced to go to rehab, once they Narcan them one time and they should have to go to the emergency room and they should have to go into a program and don’t give me that crap about who’s going to pay for it we pay for everything else in this state you’re so worried about money that probably 60% of these people are on welfare sucking up money from the system and sitting here judging other people, I would rather my tax dollars goes to help somebody with a drug problem then to feed healthy people that won’t get up and get a job
Joshua Poppe so just let them die ?
Well if you must know my family has had people who were addicted to drugs, I have lost friends due to drug overdoses. But they CHOSE to do the drugs. I didn’t choose to be a diabetic. See the difference?
Monique Boutillette-Gilbert nicely said I agree
People chose to do drugs. Narcan enables them to keep pushing the envelope. End of story
Joshua Poppe Bullshit again educate yourself they don’t want to be drug attic’s you think people wake up and say oh I think I’ll be a drug attic today because Narcan I’ll save me I don’t think cell go get educated on drugs
Hypocrisy at it’s finest.
Another post someone calls 911 bc an addict is threatening suicide by overdosing.
“Omg. Praying” “I hope he gets help”
Post on an od, saved with narcan. “Enabling” “we pay for this” & its so damn funny.
Wait. You’ll be the ones to have an addict child, spouse, etc.
Once again selfish people pray it isn’t your child because then I want to see your tune change, we could say the same for cancer patients how many times they’re in and out of the emergency room they didn’t ask for the disease and addict doesn’t asked to become an addict , unreal and sad to see some ppl I know saying what they are saying ! I think I am fortunate that my children didn’t take this route but there are other people that have children that did and you better pray yours never does don’t ever say never it’s never too late for your child to turn to drugs, I’m just shocked at these comments
Monique Boutillette-Gilbert cancer and addiction is comparing apples to oranges. Do I think they “should” die… NO. However.. something needs to be done this epidemic is OUT OF CONTROL. A user chooses to inject that needle BEFORE they are addicted.. a cancer patient does not.
Jaclyn Helle it’s still A disease bath either way, and just so you know a drug addict doesn’t start off shooting needles in their arms, it starts with pills more than likely , I don’t care either way , it’s still a human and no one should have to die , and yes things need to change but stopping Narcotics/opiates isn’t going to help their people with chronic pain that need those meds, the main problem is doctors prescribing them and then people turning to heroin when they can’t get their pills to feed their addiction, and the state needs to start changing the law when they help someone not just narcan them and walk away
Jaclyn Helle actually you’re wrong. There are three criteria’s for something being classified as a disease: its chronic, its progressive, and its fatal.
Monique Boutillette-Gilbert , did you not read the part where I said “do I think they “should” die, NO..” something needs to be done, this epidemic is out of control. Yes I am aware it can start with pills, at the end they still choose the needle. I have a friend whos mom has been fighting cancer and refuses to take certain pain meds because her other daughter is an addict. Nothing about cancer is a choice. In the end they still choose to take something whether it starts with a pill and ends in a syringe or not.. they are not born addicted to heroin. They dont know the taste of that particular addiction until they chose to take it initially. There needs to be some thing inbetween giving then narcan and letting them go.. they need to come up with mandatory detox or some kind of help or its going to be a endless cycle till they od to the point of not coming back. You dont have to agree wth me. Have a good day.
Jaclyn Helle Did you see where I said you said anything like that I meant it in general and you don’t need to correct me or school me thank you
And a lot of the drugs are coming out of Seaside maybe we should just shut seaside down and end it right there
Close the boarder…
Bunch of idiots commenting. I agree with using Narcan but they leave the addict to their own demise afterwards. If someone tried to commit suicide, they wouldn’t be saved and left. They would be brought to a hospital or facility to find a way to avoid repeating and succeeding their attempt. Addicts get Narcan and get left home. Make it mandatory rehab…not the usual 2 week stay. Use the taxes wasted on illegals to save OUR people.
My mother was an addict and died from the addiction. It doesnt change my opinion whatsoever about Narcan enabling addiction. So for all those saying wait till it happens to you, it did here and my opinion stands. Narcan is for ACCIDENTAL overdoses not repeating addicts. Today would be her birthday.
I’m so sorry about the loss of your mom. Happy Birthday to her in Heaven.?
Don’t relate Cancer to an Addict. They chose to take the drugs that got them addicted. The just say no campaign! No one chooses to have cancer. ?
I hope that the person is able to get the help that they need. I really hope that they are offered help getting into a detox/rehab. Im not against narcan at all. But give the person narcan then give them help! Narcan isnt a long term solution to a problem. If the person overdosing is not given help other than narcan the person will keep using—–>getting narcan until one day god forbid its too late. The other problem is that a huge number of police calls are for overdoses. Its expensive to repeatedly dispatch police and ambulance especially to the same locations for the same people over and over. If the police and ambulance are tied up with overdoses we wont have as many readily available for car accidents, domestic violence, heart attacks, other medical emergencies. We cant predict heart attacks, stokes, medical emergencies, bank robberies, but we know that there is fentanyl and deadly garbage in drugs that people are addicted to. We have to look at it from a human perspective. We cant just let these people who are addicted die and we can’t judge them either. They are human beings. Murphy is taxing the hell out of new jersey. How about taking some of that tax money and using it to build more detox facilities, counceling centers, more resources for homeless addicts. Help people get off the streets and away from the drug life. We really need to look at the bigger picture at the drug epidemic as a whole. Add more rec centers to keep kids off the streets. The drug epidemic is effecting people from every race, background, social class. Wealthy to poor to homeless. They should build rooming houses for the high risk homeless or very poor and help people get jobs, help them gain skills, teach them how to manage finances. Charge them a small amount of money to live. After detox/rehab if they have nowhere to go dont release them back to the streets help them get a fighting chance to turn their life around. If we dont take action these people will most likely end up in jail or on probation homeless with fines they cant pay, or god forbid dead. We need to end the stigma associated with addiction and start seeing people as human beings.
Nicole Gili you have novel ideas of grandiose visions. “You” want help FOR “them.” BUT…”They” DO NOT “want” it for “themselves” , see the problem? What you want for them matters ZEROOOO. They don’t care what you want.
Karen Kennedy how do you know what “they” want? The only “help” they are typically given is narcan. How many people take drugs or drink alcohol to escape their problems? Once people get in so deep theyre stuck. No one is going to hire a homeless person who hasnt showered and has no clothes. So they cant get a job or housing and they feel hopeless and trapped. I know people who are in recovery who are doing extremely well. Not everyone has a support system. With a state that lacks resources how could anyone get help
ignorance is fucking bliss
That person will be doing it again by the end of the day…
Danielle Fuchs exactly cause they know they will get narcan and be saved
They do charge the person with the ambulance bill..
Hope this person gets help. Recovery is possible!
Is this the thread his wonderful human specimen wished death upon another?
Everyone has their thoughts and reasonings for writing on here! I know that if someone overdosed near me I would be very happy you have Narcon in my home. I saved someone that I love very much. I would not wish this on anyone ever. I can see him doing better everyday. Thank God. Please read up about Narcon if you know or love someone with addiction. His Mom?
