Toms River: In one of the most active months in recent memory, TR was busy with almost 20 overdoses for February. Half are at residences, but we are still seeing the regular businesses show up.
Wawa, Mariner’s Cove Apartments, Pier One Motel, Ocean County Mall, Exxon, Howard Johnson Hotel, & Pelican Inn & Suites.
Let’s hope March looks better since the town like to hide all the medical calls over the air to fool us now.
Horrible.
Not enough rehabs!
Terry Raymond Eisenbrey there’s plenty
Jessica Duff…, WRONG!!!! I work in the medical field and that fuck Christie gutted the funding for rehab centers. Murphy is trying to refund what that fuck Christie took to make all his stupid commercials that the Christie moron supporters hung on every word
Jessica Duff There Certainly are rehabs.
Kenny Jensen…, sorry no where near enough
Jessica Duff not for the demand.
Kenny Jensen yes, there are many but not enough beds! Call any rehab and they will tell you the same.
Terry Raymond Eisenbrey the problem I see is the cost, close to 1,000.00 a day! They stay the 7 or 30 days and thats not enough time !
Jackie Divins Ray NJ has grants for uninsured.
No insurance and you are treated suboxene,8,6,4,2 down to 1mg and you’re out! If you are insured sometimes you get up to 30 days! Kids that are maybe 17,haven’t ever worked are receiving SS!
Terry Raymond Eisenbrey can I please PM you ?
Good thing February is a short month
Keep supporting open borders
That’s beyond sad
Jennifer Lane Jones SMFH
Nicole McGuire Neubig told you
The sickness is real.
Addicts can’t wait to use to “get better” They meet the dealer and pull into the nearest parking spot or bathroom to use their drugs.
Obviously something needs to change.
Mandatory in patient detox when they are saved with narcan? Idk…
Sharon Lynn Huber too bad its not “a sickness” …it’s a choice
Desiree Domer correct..its not a sickness until your addicted…
Karen Pomante addiction isn’t a sickness at all. It’s a CHOICE
The addicts will keep taking the poison cause they know someone will show up with Narcan and save them. We’re now stuck in a viscous circle.
Need fo continue to educate and be out in the community trying to.get people in to rehab/detox. the struggle we know is real need more people educating and loving people away from the drugs.
Alyssa Sala Della Cuna Reggie Kovaleski
Seems like the Hooper Ave area is a hot spot.
Kris Davis how crazy is this!
Horrible!!
Let’s see if we could beat the number for April
These people are creating their own population control…what a shame!
They get Narcan they should be arrested for under the influence and in jail have a detox instead of a GYM forced to go . No person high on heroin is gonna say I need help they are always too high to think . Look at the money for the ems /Narcan/ hospitals to keep them alive…most have no insurance..Its a shame! Use that $$ for people who want to live..
As long as they know Narcan is out there. they will keep using!!!
Camille Myszko I’m pretty sure they don’t just get high and think oh if I OD there is always Narcan to save me! What they are thinking is I Need A Fix now !!!
Yup
Read the front page stories in today’s APP- the heart wrenching story of a mom who lost 2 children to ODs – your heart goes out to the families that are left behind to suffer the consequences of the users. Heartbreaking!!
I guess the overdoses that go directly to Community Hospital don’t get reported to the Police Department? I was in the Emergency Room waiting room on February 5, 2019 when a guy came running in yelling that his girlfriend was in the car and wasn’t breathing. Two people ran out with a wheelchair, threw her in it and ran into the ER. There was another woman there arguing with someone that she wanted to leave and was loudly told she couldn’t leave until she receive drug counseling and security was called on her. She looked like a zombie. It was a scary place on a Tuesday afternoon.
My friend is a police officer and she said they can go out to the same house 3or 4 times a day. There is no mandatory anything for the narcan recipients???
Ridiculous
Ocean county representing again.
Maybe it’s time to keep them all In jail until they give up every dealer, and keep the dealers in there until they give up every source. Ocean county especially Tom’s River is a friggin joke with this shit. Every day all you read is thefts, Robberies, overdoses and problems from this poison. And we treat these addicts like poor sick victims when they are thieves who would Rob an old lady to get their fix. Narcan is a joke. It just prolongs the problem and gives these dicks a reason to keep getting high.
And everyone is so proud of this this does not need to be public knowledge wtf enough. But we have to worry about gun laws cause they kill Murphy it’s time to pull your horse face out of your ass
