The Beachwood Police Department along with the Beachwood Municipal Alliance and Beachwood Mayor’s Wellness Program have partnered with Rite Aid to bring a prescription drug drop-off box to the Beachwood Municipal Complex. The prescription drug drop off box will be located in the lobby on the police side and will be available for residents to dispose of any unused prescription medication. Residents can take note of the listed restrictions on the drop off box in regards to what can and can not be deposited in the box. The lobby at Borough Hall is open during normal business hours. Chief Tapp and Mayor Roma are happy to create this drop off site in an effort to help residents properly dispose of unused/unwanted prescription medication.

We would like to thank the Rite Aid Foundation and KidCents for assisting us with this project. They were kind enough to forward the follow comment on their behalf.

“The Rite Aid Foundation and KidCents is proud to partner with local law enforcement agencies to help address drug abuse and accidental poisonings, both of which pose a serious threat to the health and safety of our nation’s young people,” said Director of The Rite Aid Foundation and Charitable Giving Initiatives Tracy Henderson. “We look forward to working with the Beachwood Police Department and law enforcement agencies across the country to bring disposal units to the communities we serve and to deliver on The Rite Aid Foundation’s mission of improving the health and well-being of kids.”
