On Beach? Saw the lights..
Lacey has a beach?
There needs to be some repercussions to all this. Especially a night like tonight where the weather is less than favorable. Now volunteers have to leave their families and get a rig out to administer Narcan. All of this so the victim can use again. I understand this sounds insensitive, but I’ve never met an empathetic user..
Wait for the hateful comments lol
Patrick every damn time..
Jason Price I agree with you 100%. Ive had family members as addicts and tried to get them help and they just shit on me. I have 0 sympathy. They are fully aware to what they are doing.
Jason Price maybe she has a medical issue and forgot she took them already?
Sharon I as well have seen many families drained emotionally and financially for an addict. You’re the stronger person to back away, as tough as that may be.
Debby I wouldn’t rule anything out anymore..
And I’m in no way saying they shouldn’t be helped.. There just has to be measures out in place to make them accountable in some way. Otherwise this cycle just continues
Not shocked
Overdose ON MEDICATION. Surely that’s not as bad as heroin
Sharon Lynn Huber
It could have been an accidental overdose as well.
Ocean County Scanner News thank you I was going to say that. So many hateful comments
Marge Wells Anacker I have no tolerance for drug addicts. .NONE. My neighbor is a frequent narcan flyer and it makes me sick that she gets so many free benefits and not even a slap on the wrist for using, overdosing, and repeat.
However, my mom was on prescribed painkillers for the last several years of her life and at the age of 101.5 her organs started failing. So although she was just given her prescribed dose in the morning, her body (kidneys and liver) did not metabolize them so they built up in her system. And then her organ function kicked in and metabolized 2 days worth of painkillers all at once. We called EMS because we had no idea why she was so drowsy and in and out of responsiveness and they administered Narcan. She lived another year and a few months but that opened my eyes to the fact that not everyone who od’s on Rx meds took too many. And what happened to my mom could happen to anyone who is I’ll that would require pain meds…lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, etc.
Anna Greco I think she’s very lucky to have lived to 101.5. Seriously it sounds to me like she wasn’t monitored at all or took more than was prescribed accidentally. Don’t be so hateful because of your loss. Teach others. Have some compassion.
Marge Wells Anacker I am trying to teach others. Not everyone who overdoses does so because they take too many pills to get high. Sometimes what happened to my mom happens to people that are way younger. My mom DID NOT take too many, she was not capable of taking her own meds and was administered her correct dosage. I’m sorry you misunderstood what I was trying to say. I was agreeing with you not being hateful.
Anna Greco I am sorry
