On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal will join Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer at Lakewood High School, 855 Somerset Avenue, Lakewood, NJ, for a town hall meeting featuring discussion regarding the Attorney General’s Immigrant Trust Directive and Bias Intimidation.  Starting at 6 p.m., Attorney General Grewal, Prosecutor Billhimer and Patrolman Alex Guzman will present a power point presentation regarding the Attorney General’s Immigrant Trust Directive.  This presentation will be in English and Spanish. The goal of this presentation is to strengthen relationships between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve – and to address areas of concern before conflicts arise.

There will be a short break and starting at 7 p.m., there will be another power point presentation by Ocean County Assistant Prosecutor Alyssa Mandara regarding bias and intimidation crimes. This presentation will detail what constitutes a bias/intimidation crime, what to do if you’re a victim or witness of a bias/intimidation crime, and how to report a bias/intimidation Crime.

Lakewood Schools Superintendent Laura Winters, Lakewood Police Chief Gregory H. Meyer, and Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy will also be present.
