BERKELEY – A Tuckerton man was arrested after entering an unlocked home and climbing onto its roof. The man, likely intoxicated, believed he was being chased by someone.

Sean Sofield, 26, was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct Feb. 19. As of press time, he remains in Ocean County Jail.

Berkeley Township Police received a call around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday and responded to Sloop Creek Drive and Lawrence Avenue for a report of a suspicious person. The male was knocking on doors, and eventually found a home with an unlocked door and entered it.
