Make the attendant suck it out
That’s a Delta move. been done to me there before (in Toms River) Would’ve thought it was an honest mistake, if the attendant didn’t try to beat the guy in front of me- paying cash. first and last time ever using them.

I went through that a few years ago at Hess, I asked them for $10 worth of gas and they filled my tank, after speaking to the manager they found that it was the attendance fault and I got a full tank of gas for $10

The driver is probably pulling a fast one, when I worked at Wawa some one was always trying to pull a fast one, like give me 50$ then tried to turn around and say I said 15 not 50

Was there today at 1230 an the man tried to take my money before giving me gas. He wasn’t the usual guy that works there an was pretty rude

Frank Peppi it happened to me awhile ago at our gas station with my card i said $20 regular next thing u know I have a receipt for $38. He filled it. Then told me not his problem. So I now pay cash and hope he messes up oneday

I haven’t gone there in years because when the attendant was filling my tank he sat on my car.
They got a new attendant and he is horrible. Lines like crazy and just sits in the booth and waits until someone honks or calls him out.. There’s been lines like crazy there since he started. The other two guys are usually very good, I’ve never had a problem with them.

This has been a long time scam, it happened to me over 20 years ago when I first got my license. I only had a 20 dollar bill on me and I was so afraid that I couldn’t pay so I gave him all my change that was in my cup holder. He didn’t care and took it all as long as the police are not involved they will take as much as you are willing to give for their “mistake”

Don’t use this station anymore the last time I purchased gas there it had water in it gave lots of engine trouble, plus the meter on the pump is rigged you are always given less fuel for amount paid, the state department of weights and measures fined them a few times.
Bob Garelick same here in keyport. They were using jet fuel as gas. It wasnt the first time they have done it before.

The only time I would use Delta is if I ran out of gas right in front of the station.
The Sunoco on Rt 9 Weartown north side , is notorious for ripping you off , gave the attendant my debit card for ten dollars of gas put in 45.00 unreal.

they do it all time ,in an other gas station i said stop filling to top it and he was yelling and screaming at me and i went in the store and they talked to him and said i didnt have to pay but my point was he was screaming at me and threatening its scary when it happens to you
Happened to my husband a few times. That’s why I tell him NEVER USE DEBIT/CREDIT. If you use debit and say $10 and they fill it up, you’re screwed.. If you say $10 cash and they put in more, then ask to talk to manager, say you said $10 and the attendant will have to pay the difference.
Who really cares. Is he not going to burn the rest of the fuel? Just pay for it. The attendant did him a favor. Now he doesn’t have to stop for gas as aften

Yeah and accidents happen. Big deal. There was no need to get the cops involved. Guy could have probably made the extra money to pay for the gas in the amount of time he had to wait for the cops and resolve the issue
A lot of stations do this on purpose, so if someone has been burned before I don’t blame them for calling the cops. Sunoco in Waretown has had many complaints as well.

I got gas there and my ck engine light came on 10 min later now its 100s of dollars to fix .

Fuck that I’d drive away if I paid cash… I used to pump gas at wawa and every once in a while the pump wil malfunction and fill the tank when I put 20 in. Either they will pay or get a refund or drive off . Nothing ever happens

I had to go to a station where I’d heard rumors of this happening, only one around at the time and I was about out. I literally turned on the record feature on my phone in case they pulled any crap. I figured why not.

That happened to me a few years ago at that station. Told attendant $20 he said fill it ? I said No $20 and showed him the bill. He walks away was taking on his Bluetooth & I see it going past the $20 I’m trying to get his attention but by the time he came over it was already a filled tank. So I told him I wasn’t going to pay it and and I called Barnegat police but the cop actually took his side and told me to just give them the money !! Thank goodness I had the money but that wasn’t the point I’m sure there’s people out there that if they say $20 that might be all they have.
