JACKSON – Five individuals from Monmouth County were arrested in connection with a stolen vehicle report made on Feb. 2 in Jackson Township. The arrests also yielded marijuana, hypodermic syringes, and alcohol.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 2, Officer Derek Thomason was alerted of a stolen vehicle being tracked by OnStar on Cedar Swamp Road. Once he located the vehicle, Thompson conducted a motor vehicle stop on West Veterans highway.

Police reported the smell of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle holding five passengers. A subsequent search of the vehicle recovered marijuana, numerous hypodermic syringes and an open bottle of Hennessey liquor, according to police.

The five passengers were arrested and taken into custody:

  • Ireanna Sims, 25 of Freehold: charged with vehicle taken without consent, receiving stolen property, driving while intoxicated, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of marijuana and an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Oakhurst in addition to other motor vehicle summonses. She was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
  • Ahdaizjha Bellamy, 22 of Asbury Park: charged with vehicle taken without consent, receiving stolen property, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of marijuana and an outstanding warrant for her arrest from Tinton Falls.
  • Kynisha Glover, 27 of Asbury Park: charged with unlawful means of conveyance/joy riding, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of marijuana and an outstanding warrant for her arrest from Tinton Falls.
  • Aquane Glover, 26 of Asbury Park: charged with: unlawful means of conveyance/joy riding, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of marijuana.
  • Caeaona Smith, 23 of Asbury Park: charged with unlawful means of conveyance/joy riding, possession of hypodermic syringes.
