Sean Greeley (57 of Rumson),  was charged with one count of third degree theft and faced up to five years in a New Jersey state prison after he admitted stealing more than $25,0000 from the league account.

The former head of the Rumson Fair Haven Touchdown Club was charged with theft from the volunteer organization between April 2017 and July 2019.

The investigation began in August of 2018 and Greeley was charged on January 30th, 2019. It determined that Greeley stole from the 501(C)3 organization for his personal use. As president Greeley had control of all of the club’s accounts. The theft included unauthorized debit card transactions from the club’s bank account. The theft totaled more than $25,000.

Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
