JACKSON – Police are investigating an alleged luring incident that took place around 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at an Aldrich Road home.

A “juvenile female” went out to get mail from the home’s mailbox when a truck stopped near her, partially in the roadway and partially on the shoulder. The driver, a man, yelled to the girl and asked if she wanted to get in the truck.

The girl reportedly did not respond, but fled inside her house.

The conditions were dark and rainy, but the girl and her parent said the truck was a black Ford or Dodge four-door pick-up. It had a reddish large bull or ram symbol on the rear window.

The driver was described as an older white male, possibly in his 60s, with a thin face and red beard.

Anyone with information should contact Det. Dominic Manion at 732-928-1111.’
