A year after opening its first store in Brooklyn, N.Y., Bingo Wholesale opened its second store in the heavily Orthodox, kashrut-observant community of Lakewood, N.J.
Bingo is a partnership between Weiss and Osher Ad, a grocery chain with 20 stores in Israel.
“We plan to open many, many stores,” said Osher Ad managing director Yehuda Lanaido.
The Costco-style kosher warehouse doesn’t require membership, but having one allows customers to use in-store coupons.
“We try to sell everything at wholesale price,” said Bingo Wholesale managing director David Weiss. The Lakewood store opened on Jan. 22.
“You’ll find brand name goods, but also items under Bingo Wholesale’s private label, which includes BluPantry and BluShine,” reported App.com. “Many items also are in large and bulk sizes, commonly found at a warehouse clubs, which helps to differentiate Bingo from other stores.”
Bingo plans to open a third store in the heavily Orthodox hamlet of Monsey, N.Y., “soon,” according to its website.
While Bingo may specifically target Jewish customers, New York-based supermarket analyst Burt Flickinger III told App.com that what’s available at the store in terms of price, quality and other factors makes it “a United Nations of consumers.”
Cathy Ann ?
Push out tenants to put your own religious based bullshit stores in for yourselves.
Most your foods are already kosher. This is wholesale pricing and certainly beats the hell out of Costco.
Ashley Hansen I’m not sure if you understand how business works, it’s not at ‘wholesale’ like he claims. He has to mark the products up or he will not stay in business.
Dave Tober I’m not sure if you understand…have you been there and seen the prices?
Patrick Brennan I’m sure you feel the same way about Christian stores and coffee shops, and the stores that sell Catholic school uniforms…
Dave Tober like you know
Francine Cooper Lakatos no cares what Patrick thinks…all just bigoted and uninformed “addiction is not a disease cuz I say so” bullshit
Scott A Barnes there’s an awful lot of that on this page
Matt Forte
Rosa Forte ??♂️
I don’t mind. More bang for my buck.
Gonna try it out!! In the summer…. in my bikini ?
Melanie Nau Keating eating a non kosher steak
Steven Smith Lol! Like they’d let YOU in.
Nor melanies bigoted ass self
Elisa Blasucci lol! Like that’s really NOT funny. And absolutely they would let me in because I’ve already been in a few of those places
I’ve walked into Evergreen wearing short shorts and a tank top and they still welcomed me. No one cared. My money is still green.
Just run to the store touching all the Jewish men saying I’m menstruating ???
The fuck is wrong with you?
Scott A Barnes was a joke
Lynn Marie not funny..
Get rid of these dirtbags
are non Jewish people allowed to shop there
Tax free
“They” closed the McDonald’s in that shopping center !!!
Peggy Mckee right! It had nothing to do with the fact that there was poor visibility, inconvenient access, and a generally low volume of business over years did it??? Gimme a break…
Will they be open Friday night and Saturday morning???
Nope. They are closed.
Only time I’d go
Heather Chafatelli LMAO!!You’re a funny little Goy!
Do us all a favor and keep your racist pos skank ass home.
Wake up people they are pushing in other areas this shit needs to be nipped in the butt asap
It’s too late for that! 🙁
Steven Smith Whose they??
Where are you from?
Steven Smith like you have the power to do amything
They are definitely expanding
… I think you mean “nipped in the -bud-“.
Hopefully Costco won’t be so packed anymore……
Does this mean we get our Costco back?
Elsa Wyres-Small Did it go somewhere??
Elisa Blasucci went to shit lol
My whole point is maybe it will alleviate some high traffic from Costco. It’s always a shit show in there so now with another wholesale store in the area maybe we can get Costco to not be swarmed with 1000 people everyday
I went in because I was curious and at home depot over priced meats and old fruits and veggies ..
Sue Ann that is completely untrue… ..they had very nice produce
That is completely true they have old crappy fruit and veggies.. did you bring it home I did and the fruit was for shit the next day .. old fruit covered in wax .. but you are entitled to your opinion as am I
Funny how when I went in everything was reasonably…and the only entitlemnt you have is air…nothing more….so us how you became a food critic..because we know you’re not
Sue Ann meat is kosher that’s why it seems over priced to you. Kosher is very expensive.
I know I only buy kosher chicken ??
Sue Ann why did you look for meats, fruits and veggies at Home Depot
And? I am not seeing the problem here.
pork chops and bacon on sale!?
Cody Bartels ??
Kelly Gargaloni BINGO
3.5% sales tax. And Costco type stuff. Sounds good to me! It’s not a religious store people calm.down. you already shop stores that are owned by Jewish people and I guess you didn’t know it. Lol a lot of things you already eat are kosher. Who cares? I grew up til age 14 in boro park Brooklyn. They can be very nice people. Just like Christianity there are some a little more orthodox, radical or fanatical than others. What is the problem here? It’s open to all people. Not just those in the jewsh faith and fyi your neighbor there might eat kosher only foods and you don’t think about it because they don’t dress like orthodox Jews. My friend went. There and liked it. I haven’t been yet but I plan on it at some point. Why not check out a new business you might like what they have to offer.
Denise Desiree Capizzo Stewart it’s pure ignorance by these posters.
Robi Salierno I agree. Sadly we are seeing this a lot.
Pretty hateful filled thread. Yikes.
Stephanie DeCicco I agree. Just pure ignorance.
Robi Salierno it’s very sad right? I will be checking the store and comparing prices.. we needed another grocery store in the area. From what I looked up online they have some high quality stuff and low prices. Does it matter that it’s a kosher store? No. I’m ? the management will respect any business that comes in.
Stephanie DeCicco It always is here. Really close to just being downright hateful and prejudice.
Elisa Blasucci not even really close. It is hateful and prejudice
Elisa Blasucci let them all hate. While I go stock up on my kosher chicken which is way better taking then regular lol
Elisa Blasucci imagine if their jobs saw these posts..what am I saying I can name at least 4 who don’t work
Scott A Barnes Right…It’s easy to be hateful online, and especially when you’re ignorant.
Scott A Barnes my father would disown me if you ever saw me speak of another human being the way some of these people spoke
I visited the store. This is open to the public, and there were plenty of non-Jews shopping Big, clean, well-stocked. Prices on many items were significantly lower than ShopRite. They carry name brands (Saran Wrap) and their own private brand. Please visit with an open mind before you post a random bigoted statement.
Robi Salierno but to many of these people that would take effort
Lyndsey Davis wish I saw this before we went
Josh Davis many many stores.
Where is this in Lakewood?
Linda Bruno Kelly By the Home Depot
Amy Noelle
Thx! On route 9?
No thanks.
Rob Duane your loss
Scott A Barnes no loss when there was never a desire.
Rob Duane and why not…why wouldn’t you?
Cool! Open one south of TR so non orthodox can go without getting sneered at and ran over in the parking lot.
Good lord some people make me ?♀️
Went there out of curiosity. They had a LOT of fresh produce, fresh fish, fresh meats. Open candy area as well as open spices. Was disappointed there was no Challah bread. Some items were written in Hebrew, but you could figure out what it was. Lots of name brand items as well.
See nothing wrong with a new business opening
Ocean County Nazi News
Have and will shop in any venue such as this. Products are very safe. In particular fresh foods.
Good luck
Where is it located
Rich Borkowski
Ashley Singer we should go next week…and hiss
Karen Schwartz Friedman
I was there the first day it opened not even knowing it was open. I happened to be in Costco when I got a call saying bingo was open. So I went. Got some awesome ahi tuna. Neat clean and well stocked. The apples were polished like a new car. I’d go again
Yeah they forced Modells out
Donna Marie Gerhart
Tahryn DeGeorgio Nicastro
No comparison to Costco. Produce was nice and meats nice but expensive (kosher) baked goods nice too. Open spice bins candy bins and nut bins seemed unsanitary to me. Mid aisle stores reminded me more of Aldi’s than Costco
A lot of the ignorant comments on here is ridiculous.
Good get them out of costco
