BRICK – An alleged drunk driver hit a police cruiser, injuring the officer inside.
Brick Township Police Patrolman Michael Dinnebeil was conducting a motor vehicle stop 11:45 p.m. Dec. 26 on Route 70 eastbound when the vehicle hit his car.
The driver, Corey Breitenbruck, 38, of Point Pleasant, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, assault by auto, and “other motor vehicle violations,” Brick Police said.
Dinnebeil was treated for injuries at Ocean Medical Center, and released.
Sending prayers to this officer for a full and fast recovery
Again!
These cops lights are blinding and distracting. Even if your not drunk, those lights are way too bright.
Yeah you’re right. Blame the cop cars not the driver. Seriously?
Beverly Reilly Ombres that’s not what I said. I wasn’t blaming anyone. I was making a statement about how the new lights in cop cars are way too bright and are blinding and distracting to drivers. Even if not drunk!
Dan Feimer I see perfectly fine when I’m passing them. You might want to get your eyes checked out before you drive again sir.
Dave Meyer I have my eyes checked regularly. 20/20. But I appreciate your professional medical opinion
Dan Feimer
Prayers to the officer
Corey Breitenbruck will now be driving a bicycle.
