MANTOLOKING – A Manahawkin man was shot and killed while authorities executed a warrant for his arrest at a Mantoloking home.
Edward M. Walsh, 39, was being served a warrant at his last known location, 914 Barnegat Lane, when police entered the home. A scuffle ensued, and police shot Walsh. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Walsh was wanted for kidnapping, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and theft of the victim (his girlfriend).
Stab a police dog, get shot. Sounds right to me.
The dog is a cop too.
That dog falls under the same protections as a police officer.
