Since November of 2016, the members of the Lacey Township Police Department, PBA Local #238, and our local Emergency Services, have participated in the “No-Shave November” campaign.

Throughout the month of November participants competed with one another to grow their beards in an attempt to raise the highest amount of money. Participating members of Lacey Police and PBA 238 were afforded the opportunity to deviate from Lacey Township Police Department’s Uniform Standard’s and Dress Code, which was authorized by Chief Michael DiBella, in exchange for their charitable contribution of $100 per participating member to the No Shave November Organization.

All donations received by the public, in addition to participating members beginning contributions, will go directly to the No Shave November Organization. No Shave November then directs these donations toward cancer awareness, treatment, and research. We are proud to announce that as of 2:00 p.m. today, we raised $3076 for this year’s campaign.

Your donations can be made to Team Lacey at https://no-shave.org/team/lacey-pd/, or, you can elect to donate to a specific member of Team Lacey by selecting their name during payment of such.

In years past, Lacey Township Police and PBA Local #238 have dedicated the “No Shave,” campaign to individuals close to our community, who have been directly impacted by a courageous cancer battle. This became known as our, “Keep it Local,” campaign, with our first honoree being Lanoka Harbor Fire Chief John Szfranski III, who in 2020 passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, and last year’s honoree, our very own Dispatcher/Record’s Clerk, Kasey Kanka, who continues to fight her battle with cancer.

This year, we unanimously decided to dedicate the 2022 No Shave November Campaign to our dear friend, Mayor Nicholas “Nick” Juliano who passed away from cancer earlier this year.
For those of you who did not have the pleasure of knowing Mayor Juliano, he was a family man and friend, first, and a Mayor, second. With a genuine passion for helping and serving others, Mayor Juliano was a valued and consistent supporter of Lacey Police, PBA #238, and our local Emergency Services. He never shied away from publicly expressing his sincere appreciation for all of us, and took every opportunity to remind us of the same, privately. Mayor Juliano’s untimely passing after his courageous battle with cancer has a tremendous loss, leaving an irreplaceable void in our Lacey Township Community. We remain committed to honoring Mayor Juliano’s Legacy, and his family, through our actions of service, helping those in need, and giving back to the community.

As a token of our gratitude and appreciation for all Mayor Juliano, and his family, have done and continue to do for our community, Lacey Township PBA #238 will be matching each participating Lacey PBA Members’ respective contribution of $100. This $100, times the amount of participants, will be donated to the Juliano Family.

As always, we want to thank all of you for your contributions and your continued support. It is because of our community that we are able to have continued success toward the No Shave November Organization Cancer Awareness.

2022 No Shave November, in loving memory of Lacey Township Mayor Nicholas “Nick,” Juliano.
