If you had to quickly get out of your house in the middle of the night, do you have a plan? Do your kids know how to unlock the window and get the screen out of the way? Where are you going to meet so you can make sure everyone is out? These are conversations nobody wants to have, but we need to have. Plan your escape routes before you need them. Know two ways out of every bedroom. Decide where you’ll meet after you get out – your neighbor’s front yard, or in the driveway. Prepare your family BEFORE the emergency!
