We just received information that the police department has cleared the school to open for students. Students were being redirected this morning to BTES due police activity. The police just issued the following press release:

Clara B Worth School

At approximately 7:15am The Berkeley Township Police responded to a call on Dolphin Circle , a neighborhood adjacent to Clara B Worth School. The incident involved the possibility of firearms and that someone was injured.

Although the threat was not directed at the school, as a precaution a perimeter was set up and the students were re-routed to BTES until the situation was resolved. The Berkeley Township School District coordinated with and assisted us.

At this time, the original incident was unfounded and no victim or firearm were located.

The neighborhood and the school were cleared and students were allowed to return.

This incident is currently under investigation.

An additional police presence will be seen at the schools.
