Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Narcotics Strike Force collaborated with the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas-Monmouth/Ocean Post of Duty (HIDTA/MOPOD) Group 5, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office Gang, Gun and Narcotics Task Force, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics and Criminal Enterprise Investigative Section, New Jersey State Police – Trafficking Central Unit, New Jersey State Police Hamilton Station, New Jersey State Police T.E.A.M.S. Unit, Manchester Township Police Department Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET), Berkeley Township Police Department Detective Bureau, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, and Bordentown City Police Department, to conduct an investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin/fentanyl in Burlington, Monmouth, and Ocean Counties. This cooperative, multi-agency investigation identified a residence in Bordentown, as well as a residence in Cream Ridge occupied by Sanine Brosseau, 44, as being utilized by Shaun Crawford, 36, of Trenton, to store and distribute illegal narcotics.

On July 27, 2022, Detectives from the aforementioned law enforcement agencies established stationary and mobile surveillance on the residence in Bordentown as well as the residence in Cream Ridge. Law enforcement maintained surveillance on Crawford when he exited the Cream Ridge residence and left the area in a motor vehicle. Crawford was observed traveling to the Manchester Township area, where he was ultimately detained and taken into custody without incident.

Detectives subsequently executed court-authorized search warrants on both the Bordentown and Cream Ridge residences. As a result, law enforcement seized – in combination from both residences – approximately nine ounces of methamphetamine, 6,550 wax folds of heroin, six ounces of cocaine and crack cocaine, two handguns, and $3,000 in United States Currency. Brosseau was taken into custody at the Cream Ridge residence.

Crawford was charged with Maintaining or Operating a Controlled Dangerous Substance Facility in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-4; Distribution of more than Five Ounces of Methamphetamine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(8); Possession of more than Five Ounces of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(8); two counts of Possession of more than Five Ounces of Heroin/Fentanyl with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(1); Possession of more than Five Ounces of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(1); Possession of Methamphetamine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Cocaine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Heroin/Fentanyl in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Certain Person Not to Have a Weapon in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-7b(1); two counts of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Controlled Dangerous Substance Offense in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4.1a; Possession of Hollow Point Bullets in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-3f(1); and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon or Device – specifically a High Capacity Magazine – in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-3j. Crawford is presently lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

Brosseau was charged with Possession of less than One-Half Ounce of Heroin/Fentanyl with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(3); Possession of more than One-Half Ounce but less than Five Ounces of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(9)a; Possession of Heroin/Fentanyl in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Methamphetamine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Ecstasy in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Methadone in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Dextroamphetamine-Amphetamine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Conspiracy to Possess Five Ounces or more of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:5-2a(1) and N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(8); Conspiracy to Possess Five Ounces or more of Heroin/Fentanyl with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:5-2a(1) and N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(1); and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:36-2a. Brosseau was transported to the Ocean County Jail and later released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.
