A local ATM at a Chase Bank was robbed yesterday by a group of “professional thieves” stealing “tens of thousands of dollars,” according to the South Brunswick Police. Authorities are continuing to investigate the robbery, no arrests have been made at this time.

On Thursday at around 1:00 A.M, the suspects pulled up in a stolen van and forcibly removed and ripped open an ATM at the Chase Bank on Route 1. They stole a large amount of cash and left thousands of dollars on the ground at the scene, according to police.

The thieves abandoned the stolen van at the bank and got into a second vehicle before fleeing the scene. According to a surveillance video, the robbery took about 90 seconds to complete.
