LAKEWOOD: The Lakewood Fire Department is on scene battling a working tire fire on the 100 block of NJ 88 (Ocean). Dispatch reported multiple tires were said to be on fire near an address on the 100 block of Ocean Avenue. Fire officials confirmed the burning debris upon arrival, and dispatch noted a couch may also be on fire as per a second caller. Likely by press time the debris fires have been extinguished; Ocean County Duty Fire Marshall has been requested to respond to the scene.
