Ocean County Sheriffs Department has sent mutual aid to Northern New Jersey to help with the recovery from Tropical Storm Ida. Fire departments from Toms River, Watertown, Brick Water Rescue, Jackson Mills, and Point Boro Fire Departments are staging at an area in Middlesex County. Ocean County Sheriffs Department released the following statement today. “As much of New Jersey was there for us during Super Storm Sandy we are there for them today and everyday. A caravan of our officers have headed north to do whatever we can to help those in need!” Along with sending mutual aid the Sheriffs Department assisted with 9-1-1 calls from residents in New York City, Staten Island, Nutley, Scotch Plains, Passiac, and Newark to name a few.
