Margate: Are you ready for the Hap-Hap-Happiest Birthday Party EVER??!!!  Lucy the Elephant is turning 140 years old this July, and we are rolling out the red carpet for this blockbuster of a party.  The Save Lucy Committee is excited to present Lucy’s 140th Birthday Party, themed after the famous National Lampoon’s Vacation movie series, and we’d like to invite you and your friends to spend your summer vacation at Lucy celebrating this monumental moment on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 10AM – 8PM.

For this year’s birthday party, we are proud to announce the return of the  “Lucy Express” trackless Train Ride which traces Lucy’s historic steps on July 20, 1970 from Cedar Grove Avenue to her current home on Decatur Avenue.  Party goers will also be able to participate in our 9-Hole Miniature Golf Course, take a ride on the 22-foot tall water slide, make your own work of spin art on a Frisbee, sing “Happy Birthday” to Lucy, and even grab a piece of birthday cake (while supplies last).  And then, of course, there’s everybody’s favorite carnival-style foods!  Nachos.  Popcorn.  Hot Dogs.  Frozen Lemonade.   OH!….  and did we mention there’s going to be Axe Throwing??!   (Don’t worry, mom….   it’s 100% safe and 100% fun!)  So, get those kids in the Wagon Queen Family Truckster and head on down to Lucy the Elephant for a fun-filled day of rides, activities, , music, and much more!
