JACKSON: We have shared previous stories of the area of Great Adventure along CR 537 being heavily congested today. The news is current, but conveniently we have stock photos that amazingly match up with today’s story! That is like some of you holding onto your 2 for 1 Bradlees rainchecks. Ocean County Sheriff Officers are on scene assisting with traffic control, which we assume is an absolute disaster based on Jackson PD’s Facebook post over Memorial Day weekend urging people to stop calling 911 over it.

Today officers on scene asked dispatch if anyone contacted Six Flags to determine if they were doing anything to admit vehicles quicker, or turn them away. Presumably Sheriff Mastronardy is pissed and OCSD officers are requesting phone contact with Great Adventure Security to develop a better plan and establish command. Earlier dispatch advised they were receiving numerous 911 calls regarding reckless and wrong-way drivers in the park entrance/exit area of CR 537.

Sadly we ponder: why hasn’t the concrete median been extended further west- or at least temporary barriers and a heavy NJSP presence to deter this?
