Once the pursuit approached heavier traffic near milepost 32 northbound, the Troopers terminated the pursuit- but followed at a safe distance. Speeds continued around 70 MPH as the suspect yellow truck towing a white vehicle continued fleeing. In a surprise move, additional troopers were stationed up the road near milepost 37 waiting with stop sticks. The stop sticks were successful as Troopers slowed traffic- and coaxed the suspect to run over the stop sticks.

Ultimately the vehicle came to a stop around milepost 37.7 northbound, with a white male with a beard emerging- then fleeing on foot. The suspect ran off the highway near milepost 38, and tried to hide near a shopping center on Briggs Road in Moorestown. Troopers initially planned to send helicopter and K9 support- but the suspect was ultimately located by Troopers behind an LA Fitness. He was placed under arrest and transported to a hospital for reported ankle and finger injuries around 13:15 today.

OCSN does not know for sure what the initial call was; but one suspect is in custody- and will go to jail after a medical evaluation.
