GSP: Earlier today authorities were investigating a serious two-car motor vehicle accident on the Garden State Parkway in Barnegat. The crash occurred during the 5:00 hour near milepost 65 northbound; and the injuries were severe enough to call in a medevac. Exact details are not currently known; but one vehicle ended up far into the wooded median- with skid marks prominent across the roadway. The medevac landed at First Street Park in Barnegat to transport one patient for serious injuries to an area trauma center. Further extents of injuries, current victim statuses, or causes of the crash are still unknown at press time.
