TOMS RIVER: Police are searching for a pair of armed robbers who held up the Wawa at 179 NJ 37 E. Around 01:00 this morning OCSN has learned two black males entered the Wawa and displayed handguns as part of an armed holdup and robbery. The two black male suspects fled the scene in a dark or black colored Nissan Altima- possibly on 37 westbound. No other description of the vehicle was given beyond the make/model and that the rear tag light was burned out with a partial tag of B13. Also, no description of the handgun or handguns used was given over the radio.

The information given over the radio indicated this is the Wawa on 37 near Hooper. Two suspects held up and robbed the store- with a handgun. Unknown proceeds were disclosed over the air, and the only description of the armed robbers was two black males dressed in all black. An MOCIB (Monmouth-Ocean Consolidated Information Bureau) has been activated for all surrounding agencies to attempt to locate the criminals.
