LACEY: As of Friday the yellow poles have been knocked over on Lacey Road by Wawa yet again. Now there are two fallen soldiers who are missing, and permit motorists to complete their illegal left turn without obstruction. OCSN has reports of the county installing a concrete median of some type to hopefully end this illegal left-turn debacle. With this Wawa being right next to the Lacey Police HQ, drivers are getting awfully ballsy making this illegal turn.
Now the next mess on Lacey Road is the Dunkin’ Donuts- and the traffic patterns it has generated. Lazy cars back up onto Lacey Road waiting to make a left into the store when the line gets too long. Not only is this dangerous, but it is illegal to stop on the highway. Drivers going East on Lacey Road are prohibited from turning left into Dunkin’, but that doesn’t seem to stop them anyway. As you can see, the yellow cross-hatch that is painted before the left-turn lane opens is NOT for cars to turn from. That is a striped area which cars are NOT allowed to cross over, especially when a large NO LEFT TURN sign is at the Dunkin’ driveway.

Jeff Fedak that is unfortunately true, but people make left turns into almost every other business on Lacey road. I believe having one lane with a center turn lane would help. Most people going to Wawa turn left about 200 yards before Wawa anyway

Also the angle of the driveways are not made for that the turn also .
Some people can’t drive
The speed on Lacey rd is the issue. They need to put up K rails. There is a large adult community there. Allowing people to make a left with people doing 55mph isn’t going to end well
Take them down if people hate them that much

Victoria Cambridge I drive on Lacey Road every day and see people pull out of the Wawa all the time and run them over. The first time I saw it I was in shock ????
as someone who works in traffic control, everyone should know that it’s illegal to make a left over a double yellow median, law enforcement does not enforce this law because its so minor, its still a law. buuuut we live in jersey so everyone will just do what they want anyways
