SixFlags has been working feverently to comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and feels it will be able to open all 26 of it’s current theme parks this spring.
While definitive opening dates has not been announced for all parks, they have outlined a very detailed new set of safety procedures to help limit transition.
Some of theese protocols and procedures include:
- Limited Capacity
- Park Reservation and Contact System
- No Contact Bag Check
- Touchless Thermal Camera temperature checks for guests
- Handwashing and Sanitization stations including at the Entrance and Exit of rides
- Increased focus on remote ordering including NO CASH TRANSACTIONS…
To address the fact that not everyone has Google Pay, Apple Pay, Credit and or Debit Cards, SixFlags has stated that there will be vending machines in park that can convert your cash bills into pre-paid VISA cards for use.

Justin A Skorochod Just like chuckie cheese, they allow for you to convert cash to a card to be used on the property. Chuckie cheese made you trade cash for coins. Same thing, only it’s a card. So long as they allw you to convert on site, perfectly acceptable.

They put machines in the park that you can get a card from. There is no fee as long as you use what you put on it all within so many days (I forget how many) and it can be used outside the park if you don’t use it all there it’s like a visa gift card. It put a lot of people out of work in the park but they were leaning towards it before covid

Tommy Verrochi ok how exactly? If I put a dollar into a change machine and get quarters out how are they tracking my personal information? And every company knows how much people in general spend in a day but they don’t track individuals there is no way to do that with one of these cards

Tizzie Cregan I mean I’m a pediatric nurse in a heavily COVID affected community and I , as well as my children and husband, have yet to be infected. And I attribute that to good hygiene practices. It’s a little ridiculous to me how politicized this has become. But whatever…spilled milk.

Worried about taking cash? How about catching hepatitis just by walking near the log flume. Stinks like you are walking through a sewer every day. Management sucks at great adventure. Closed for months, should have been the perfect time to clean the place up. Place is disgusting.

Kathleen Strittmatter Not illegal if they are offering to convert your cash to a card to be used in the park. Chuckie cheese made you convert coins to tokens.. same thing, only it’s a card, not a token, and you can use your own form of payment if you choose.
Kathleen Strittmatter you give them cash, they dove you a card with the amount of cash you gave them. Fantasy island has been doing that the past few years. Instead of giving them cash for tickets or coins, they put the amount on a card. When you go to the ride, your card gets scanned and the amount gets subtracted. When money on the card runs out, you spent your money.
Sounds like it protects the workers. It’s your right to go and touch the sweaty handrails and jump in the log flume sewage, but this way, the workers don’t have to. Most people are gross. lol
