LAKEWOOD: The Lakewood fire department is responding to the 1000 Block Of Cross for an unknown size mattress fire. Whether a boxspring was included in the inferno is not known at press time. Dispatch advises there is what appears to be a mattress on fire, burning in the roadway. With widespread power failures throughout town tonight, a burning mattress can be used as a streetlight.
