TOMS RIVER: On Monday around 16:15 Toms River Police responded to the 1100 Block of Hazelwood for reports of a 6 y/o girl who fell out a window. The juvenile female accidentally fell from a second story window of her home, with no further details surrounding the fall given. After the girl fell from the window, she was reported to be alert & conscious- and actually walked around to the front door of the house to seek help from her mother. Due to the nature and unknown severity of this incident, a medevac helicopter was considered to be called in if injuries warranted. Ultimately the 6 year old girl was transported via ambulance to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Both OCSN and the TRPD have no further details to report on this story.

With the window left open for speculation in a story like this, please remember that children can get into trouble even if you are in the same room as them. Children often do fall from windows and doors, and this time the little girl is alive to tell her story.
