Yesterday, Officers, Firemen and EMTs from all over accompanied us in a special birthday surprise for Quinn on her 7th birthday. We typically don’t do this sort of thing, but Quinn is a very special little girl who is courageously battling several serious brain conditions, including ventriculomegaly, epilepsy, and an inoperable brain mass. Quinn also suffers from central apnea. When she was just eleven months old, officers and EMTs had to respond to her residence because she had completely stopped breathing, a condition she continues to struggle with today. Quinn’s family is hoping that an upcoming visit to another neurosurgeon will help to treat some of these medical conditions.

Quinn, who has undergone four reconstructive surgeries, is full of joy and spirit. She sat in her mini police car and watched as dozens of First Responder vehicles paraded her street with lights and sirens. She even got a special happy birthday from Chief Riccio, and some goodies from our Community Policing Officers, Sean Flynn and Bryan Murphy.

Keep this little light in your thoughts and prayers. We could all learn a little from her vibrant spirit and sense of humor. Happy Birthday Quinn.

All of us here at OCSN wish Quinn the best ❤
