SURF CITY (LBI): At 12:53 this morning, Surf City, Ship Bottom and High Point firefighters were called to a Structure Fire at ScoJo’s Restaurant in Surf City. Rescue Engine 4913 arrived first and stretched a 2 1/2” line and began fire attack. Captian Peter Hartney established command and requested a 2nd Alarm, bringing in additional mutual aid companies. The initial water supply was delayed by a fire hydrant cap that jammed tight, but was it eventually removed with a pipe wrench. The fire was successfully held to the second floor, with the majority of the building being saved due to an aggressive fire attack. The origin and cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office. Thank you to all the mutual aid organizations who responded and assisted us, we greatly appreciate it
